Phyang to Hunder Trek (Nubra valley)

Phyang to Hunder trek is an overall moderate trek which starts from Phyang, a village in Lower Ladakh and ends at Hunder,a village in Nubra (Northern Ladakh). The trek is a bit chanllenging at the ascent to the Lasermo pass, but pays off with a wonderful view over to the Karakorum range with the 7,000-7,500 highpeaks of the Rimo range.

Trekking areas: Phyang/Lasermo high camp/Drok Yokma/Hunder Drok/Hunder. This trekking is mainly focusing on monasteries, valley of flowers and villagers. On return, you will visit Turtuk village and cross over the Khardungla pass (famed to be the highest motor able road). 

Rumtse to Kibber Trek

Kibber Rumtse Trekking Rumtse is situated 70 Kms east of Leh, the starting point of this trek. Rupshu Valley lies sandwiched between Ladakh in the north, Tibet in the east and Zanskar in the west. It is a part of the Changthang plateau and is characterized by high arid plains, nomads, high pasturelands, snow-capped peaks and beautiful high altitude azure-blue lakes, the largest being Tsokar & Tso Moriri at 4,500 m. From Korzok to Kibber the transformation of Landscape is breathtaking and spectacular. 

Chilling to Dat (Tsomoriri Lake )

The Markha to Kharnak Nomad Trek is a wonderful, high altitude trek that crosses a few of the mountain passes offering spectacular views of the Ladakh and Zanskar Ranges. It begins from Chilling and proceeds up the Markha Valley just past Hankar, where the trail turns south towards the Zalung Karpo La and the Kharnak Valley. After crossing the Yar La, we enter the "Changtang” plateau where nomads move from place to place with their yaks and sheep in search of pasture. The trek ends at the beautiful salt Lake of TsoKar where we might be able to view bar-headed geese, brahminy ducks, and rare, black-necked cranes. On the drive back to Leh we cross the Tanglang La. another spectacualr pass.

Padum to Lamayuru ( Zanskar Valley)

We will suggest our clients do the trek from Padum to Lamayuru rather going from Lamayuru to Padum, why? Because the other way round is much better option for acclimatization, as if you start from Lamayuru you have to go through big passes every day, and if you start from Padum, you will drive for 2-3 days via Kargil. When you start the trek first 3-4 days are without any high pass, which is ideal for acclimatization. While driving from Leh to Padum you will go through the most fascinating places of Ladakh & Zanskar, like Basgo, Likir, Alchi, Rizong, Lamayuru, Mulbek, Suru Valley, glimpse of Nun peak 7077m Rangdum, Sani, karsha, & Stongde. 

Rumtse to Tsomoriri Trek

This is one of the High Altitude Treks in Ladakh. This Challenging Trek focuses mainly on life of Nomadic People, Monasteries, Wildlife and some high altitude Lakes of Changthang. The Trek starts from Rumtse (4100m) a village in Eastern part of Ladakh and ends at Tsomoriri Lake, a beautiful High altitude lake in Changthang, which is also the breeding ground to birds like the Black-necked Crane,  Tibetan Sandgrouse, Humme’s Ground Pecker, Bar-headed geese and the Brahminy duck, etc.. The barren region is home to numerous species of wildlife including the wild Ass Kiang, Himalayan Marmot, Tibetan Argali, Himalayan Wolf, Tibetan Wild Dog, Tibetan Sand Fox, Palla’s Cat. The route traverses across a number of high passes and while the scenery is spectacular the entire route is through vast wilderness and high altitude which requires good acclimatization before starting the trek.

Lmayuru to Chilling Trek

Lamayuru to Chilling trek is actually a moderate kind of trekking that focuses mainly on famous monasteries, monks, local/ tribal people, small ancient villages and stupendous valleys all around the region. In all, this trek is completely meant for the nature lovers and the spiritual beings to explore the Buddhist culture in a pure form.   

The Lamayuru- Chilling trek involves a visit to the area of Shey. The Shey Gompa is about 15 kms from Leh that used to be the summer palace of the kings of Ladakh. There are lots of Stupas and Gompas built around the palace. Shey palace was built by Deldan Namgyal in the beginning of 17th century AD. The major attraction in Shey is the 12m Shakyamuni Buddha statue inside the Dresthang Gompa.

Further, the trek leads to Thiksey Gompa which is quite closer to Shey at a distance of about 17 kms from Leh. The monastery is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Ladakh and belongs to the Gelukspa order. Last but not the least, the trails further leads to Hemis- one of the major regions in Ladakh to please the expeditors in a more virtual form. Hemis is about 45 kms south of Leh and is one of the most famous and largest monasteries in Ladakh. It belongs to the Drukpa order and was founded in the early 17th century. The setting of the monastery cradled in a lovely valley is simply perfect and is surrounded by streams, fronted by long Mani walls. 

Zingchen to chokdo shang ( Markha Valley )

​One of the most popular treks in Ladakh – it is a perfect combination of beautiful trans-himalayan landscape with ladakhi villages. There are good chances to spot some high altitude wildlife as well as experience the life of nomadic families as they herd their yaks in these big and beautiful valleys. After couple of days of acclimatisation to high altitude in Leh you will set out to explore the heartland of the central Ladakh Valley. It involves crossing of high pass of Kongmaru La 5274 mts and walking on the banks of the Markha River crossing it a few times. Kang Yatse peak (6400m) at the head of this valley dominates the skyline as we get higher up the valley and the view towards Zanskar range from the Kongamaru La is simply are mesmerizing.
